Men's New Life Transformation Program

The New Life Transformation Program is a residential program for up to 15 men committed to rebuilding their lives, becoming self-sufficient, and learning to live victoriously in Christ.  While assigned jobs at the Mission, special emphasis is given to their spiritual and personal development.

Men who are accepted into our Program have demonstrated a desire to develop a closer relationship with Christ, and are committed to learning the personal skills that are necessary to successfully work and maintain self-sufficient  jobs, such as self-discipline, good work ethics, personal responsibility, and accountability.

The foundation of the Merced County Rescue Mission's ministry, the New Life Discipleship Program, is a biblically based course of study designed to lead Mission disciples into a relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

By entering into our New Life Transformation Program, a man has the opportunity to face the issues that have plagued their lives for many years.  He will actively participate in anger management classes, weekly recovery lessons, assigned counseling homework, and must exhibit a willingness to learn to abide by Mission rules, regulations and policies.  Further, computer classes are also given to help the individual learn and grow personally.

When new disciples respond to the foundational truth of Jesus Christ, spiritual strongholds are broken down, opening the door to a new set of priorities.  Spiritual growth is then possible.
